All eight passengers climbed on board, including Aaliyah, Gina Smith and Douglas Kratz (record company employees), Christopher Maldonado (makeup artist), Keith Wallace (family friend), Anthony Dodd, Eric Foreman (hair stylist), and Scott Gallin (Aaliyah’s security guard). They were soon all loaded up, and the plane took off. They were just 200 feet from the runway when tragedy struck. The aircraft started to nosedive. They were going down. There was nothing that anyone could do but stand back as the next few moments passed before their eyes.
