It wasn’t just the music world Gene was determined to take by storm, and this time he was getting his entire family involved, too. In August 2006, the reality show Gene Simmons Family Jewels premiered which followed the daily lives and family struggles of Gene, Shannon, Nick, and Sophie. The show was a massive success for the A&E network; by the second season, it was nearly the highest rated show for the network. The series continued its run for six years before coming to an end.
