Unfortunately for the star, one thing she couldn’t deny was the now infamous donut licking incident that was caught on camera in 2015.
Ariana was shown licking unpaid donuts before announcing: “I hate America. I hate Americans. This is disgusting.” Unsurprisingly, the singer received a wealth of backlash for her comments, with many Americans calling her disrespectful and too big for her boots. Ariana tried to clarify that she was referring to the level of obesity in the country, but few people bought that. She certainly wasn’t innocent anymore.
