In an even more shocking revelation, Sharon reported that she was told by Walmart that they had no way of removing the code from their system; this meant that all their customers could continually be at risk of getting an extra $10 charge on their receipt.
Sharon began to worry that if she had fallen victim to the alleged scam, many others had also been affected in the past. And if so, how many of those shoppers hadn’t even noticed the extra charge?
