[post_page_title]Ed O’Neill- in school[/post_page_title]
There is a reason why Ed O’Neill plays such a convincing former football star, because he is one in real life. Ed attended Ursuline High School in Youngstown, Ohio until he later transferred to Worthington High School where he joined the football team and won a state championship. After graduating, he earned a football scholarship to Ohio University, which he attended until his sophomore year. He transferred to Youngstown State University where he played defensive lineman. He was eventually signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers, but was cut during training, so he turned to acting instead.
