David lived in Buffalo, New York until he moved to Philadelphia when he was seven years old after his weather forecaster father took a job at a Philadelphia station. David went to Rosemont School of the Holy Child and graduated from Malvern Preparatory School, where he was a star athlete and played on the school’s football team. During his junior year, he suffered a knee injury that ended his promising football career. He went to Ithaca College and graduated in 1991, only two years before his first acting credits.
