However, before he became an acting superstar, Clooney struggled to pay the bills working a string of low-paying jobs. He worked in a shoe shop, he cut tobacco, and he even went door-to-door as an insurance salesman. Unfortunately, the latter didn’t work out well, as his first client passed away on the same day.
