Burt Reynolds and Mamie Van Doren’s paths were probably destined to cross as they both were open about their promiscuity. In her autobiography she detailed about partnering up with Reynolds for a brief encounter, in which she compared him to a fast food restaurant, claiming he was “high on jive, but low on substance.” Van Doren’s autobiography informed readers that when she changed her name from Joan Olander to Mamie Van Doren, suddenly she found herself into the arms of some of Hollywood’s best men.
