On May 8, 2010, Betty White took center stage as host of ‘Saturday Night Live’. Pleasing fans everywhere, White became the oldest person to ever host the show at 88 years old, beating the previous winner from 1977, Miskel Spillman, who was 80 years old when he had been given the opportunity. White went on to thank all of the fans that had given her the chance to appear on the show, and joked how she had never heard of Facebook before, even commenting on how she thought it sounded like a waste of time!
