[post_page_title]A unique cameo[/post_page_title]
In the Exodus sequence the audience briefly meets Amminadab, an elderly blind Israelite, played by famous actor H.B. Warner. He was well known in Hollywood for his roles in It’s a Wonderful Life, Mr. Deeds Goes to Town, and more.
When The Ten Commandments was being filmed he was very frail and living in a nursing home, but DeMille desperately wanted him in that cameo. DeMille arranged for an ambulance to pick Warner up at his nursing home and deliver him to the studio, leading to the last time he appeared on screen.
