Kelly knew that she had to take Rocco to a vet as soon as she could because she wanted to know that Rocco’s injuries weren’t any worse than they seemed.
Thankfully, the vet was able to quickly identify the fact that the wound was infected – but that it could be treated with a simple round of antibiotics. However, because the wound was so big and deep, Rocco would eventually need to go under the knife when the infection had cleared up. Kelly was naturally worried but knew it was the right thing.
