Surprise parties aren’t easy to arrange, but they’re a nice thing to do for someone you care about. Even if they don’t go the way they’re meant to, the gesture is still hugely appreciated.
Unfortunately, the risk of throwing surprise parties is that the guest of honor can find out about them before the event happens. Usually, it’s because someone says something they shouldn’t, though, and not because the party supplier puts their delivery notice on the front of a package. There’s a first for everything we suppose.
