Meet the members of the R&B group New Edition from the late ’70s to mid ’80s: Bobby Brown, Michael Bivins, Ronnie DeVoe, Ricky Bell, and Ralph Tresvant. These guys all lived in the Orchard Park Projects in Roxbury, Boston back in 1978. Bobby Brown was playing at a local talent show when he got a bout of stage fright. His friends in the audience went on stage to perform with him to soothe his fears – and the band was born!
