He eventually lucked out and used all of his best jokes trying to woo Joanna into a date. Although she tried her hardest, Joanna couldn’t resist his charms, and the adorable couple dated for a year before tying the knot. The Gaines’ have now been married for a whopping 15 years, and feel even luckier every day!
