After many years of living a life of instability, Streisand dreamed of proving everyone wrong. She was determined to get into the show business, and in the 60s, began getting her name out there.
By the 1970s, Barbra Streisand was already immensely famous, and the 70s saw her reaching number one on the charts multiple times and being named the most successful female singer in the U.S. Only The Beatles and Elvis Presley had sold more albums than she had – she was a worldwide sensation.

Streisand has continued recording and touring since then. Her 2007 concert saw the singer being accompanied by a 58-piece orchestra. As well as her incredible singing career, after an eight-year hiatus from acting, Streisand returned to star in Meet the Fockers in 2004.
She also played Seth Rogen’s character’s mother in The Guilt Trip which was released in 2012. She has an extensive list of awards and honors to date, including Star of the Decade several times and the National Medal of Arts, and quite rightly, too, we say.
