Susan Sarandon earned a plethora of awards during her career, from BAFTAs to Academy Awards, and everything in between, for her incredible roles in films such as The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Bull Durham.
The latter is the film in which garnered Sarandon the majority of her fame, with it being a commercial and critical success. She also played characters in Dead Man Walking, Lorenzo’s Oil, The Client, Igby Goes Down, White Palace, and Stepmom; many of which earned her award nominations.

Fast forward a few decades and Sarandon is still a household name. She has appeared in Friends, The Simpsons, and Mike & Molly, amongst others. This is as well as starring in movies which include Little Women, Alfie, and Enchanted.
She has also narrated more than 20 documentaries, mostly revolving around social and political issues – something in which she is strongly involved in. She is an activist and supports good causes more than she acts these days. 2010 also saw Sarandon being inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame.
