There’s nothing like a good plot twist – but hitting that sweet spot is easier said than done. With these movies, there were simply way too many twists and turns for us to keep track of.

People forget how awesome the original Spiderman film series was – before that third movie came out, that is. Tobey Maguire was great as Peter Parker, so what was the issue with number three?
Well… perhaps the problem was that there were too many twists and plotlines in the story (and too many villains). From the Sandman, to Eddie Brock turning into Venom, to Harry working hard to misguidedly avenge his father, to emo Peter Parker – it was all just a giant awkward blur.
