Sophia, Carol’s daughter, goes missing fairly early on in the series, and the worried group members go searching for her. Many viewers were expecting her to eventually turn up somewhere, safe and sound, but that wasn’t the case. After a whole season of searching, it was gut-wrenching to see a zombified Sophia turn up in a barn, on the farm in which the survivors were staying. Seeing the sweet child turned into a walker was a heartbreaking moment for both the survivors, as well as the fans.
