It will take us a long time to get over this one. Rick’s son, Carl, practically grew up in the midst of the zombie apocalypse, learned how to fight and survived so much – including Negan, who was actually growing fond of him. But what eventually brought about his end was a plain-old zombie bite to the side, which was revealed in the latest mid-season finale. Carl died leaving behind a message of “doing the right thing”, and wrote letters to several people – perhaps the most intriguing one being for Negan.
