T-Dog was one of the characters who were there from the very beginning, and he died as a true hero. In the third season, when the group stays at the prison, they encounter the few inmates left there, and are eventually forced to kill them, with the last survivor, Andrew, locked outside the prison’s gate by Rick. He lures walkers into the prison, and T-dog gets bitten while closing the gate. Knowing he’s about to die, he keeps walkers away from main protagonist Carol to allow her escape.
