Lori was Rick’s wife and Carl’s mother. When Rick is left in a coma during the beginning of the zombie apocalypse, Lori turns to his best friend and police-partner Shane for protection and the two, thinking Rick is dead, get together. Of course, they later find out Rick is alive and Lori goes back to Rick, but she’s already pregnant with Judith – whom we now know is probably Shane’s daughter. Fans didn’t expect Lori to die as she did, while giving birth to Judith and having her son, Carl, kill her before she became a walker. She also didn’t get a chance to say goodbye to Rick, which made it all the more heartbreaking.
