Beth’s death is one of the most devastating moments in the series. She gets held together with Carol in a hospital by a group of survivors, led by police officer Dawn. Beth comes to realize that Dawn is forcing other people to stay at the hospital as well, and right before she’s about to safely return to her group in a prisoner exchange, she decides to stab Dawn – who then accidentally shoots her. An infuriated Daryl kills Dawn in return, and carries Beth’s body out of the hospital in tears.
