Yet, Arie’s disastrous breakup seemed to go from bad to worse as he tried to explain his reasoning to Becca. Rather than quoting the ultimate breakup reason of “It’s not you, it’s me” – Arie quite literally told Becca that she was the reason that he was breaking up with her. Yes, it really as bad as it sounds. During this exchange, Arie noted that the more he got to know Becca and hung out with her, the further away he felt from Lauren. He knew that he wanted to reconcile things with Lauren, which meant that he couldn’t keep things going with Becca. I mean, there are better ways to say it.
