21 times Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton were practically twins

With their power, their reputation and their wealth, the British royal family has been the source of fascination for people across the globe. However, in a new world run by social media, fashion, and public perception, it seems that it’s the women who have married (or will marry) into the British monarchy who have won the worlds’ hearts and minds.

Indeed, both Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle have captured our attention with their beauty, their grace, their talent – and especially their fashion sense. Both Kate and Meghan have proven that they have an eye for all things stylish, but it seems their tastes aren’t too dissimilar. With almost identical clothing choices, sparkly necklines, royal colors, designer labels and even a cowboy hat or two, Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton have worn the same outfit more than once… So much so, that we’re beginning to wonder if they have employed the same stylist.

We’ve all heard of Queen Elizabeth II, her husband Prince Phillip, the late Princess Diana, and of course – of Princes Harry and William. After all, they are some of the most famous royal faces in recent history. Although she may be the Queen of the UK, Australia, Canada and New Zealand, as well as the Head of the Commonwealth, the Queen has taken a backseat in this new and improved world run by the media and popular representation – and it seems she is quite happy with that role. In her place, both Prince William and Prince Harry have shown that they are more than willing to be the face of the royal family, and prove that they are a united front, full of love and compassion for their people. As the heir to the throne, Prince William has maintained a proper demeanor and proven that he is a man of the people. His younger brother, Prince Harry, served his country and was even a notorious bachelor… until they both settled down with women who have taken the world by storm.

In 2011, Catherine (Kate) Middleton married Prince William to become the Duchess of Cambridge. As she rose to fame, the “Kate Middleton effect” swept the world, and she has since become one of the most influential people on the planet. However, it seems she may have competition – in the form of Prince Harry’s new American fiancée, Meghan Markle. As an actress, known mainly for her role in Suits, Meghan has already proven that she is capable of wooing the public. Of course, with great power comes great responsibility, and these two women have used their power to spread a new fashion age to those across the globe.

It’s no secret that Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton have a similar shape, and it seems they can both rock the “lady in red” look. In 2016, the Duchess of Cambridge was photographed at the Government House in Canada in an asymmetrical Preen dress and finished her look with a beautiful brooch, red heels, and a red purse. That same year, Meghan Markle proved that red was also her color in a Jill Jill dress that featured a pretty sweetheart neckline.
