It turned out the stroke and seizures meant that Katelyn had lost 5% of her brain function. The doctors were confident her brain would eventually regenerate with time. However, Katelyn would need medication in the meantime to control whatever it was that caused the events in the first place. Both Mike and Catherine always knew they wanted to give back to the hospital but never knew what to do. Now, they had the perfect opportunity to make a donation.
