There are some songs which are just off the wall and don’t really make any sense at all. There is no hidden meaning because just understanding them on any level is hard enough. However, there are others that seem so sweet and innocent, but really aren’t. Music artists seem to enjoy singing about love, and the meaning behind most songs can appear to be about romance or intimacy.
The hidden meanings can be much more explicit than first thought. It’s kind of like watching an animated family movie like Shrek. On the face of things, it’s all cute, or good vs. evil, but there are a bunch of jokes hidden for parents that will always go right over the children’s heads. Some of these songs are just like Shrek; it’s just that we are the children and the artists who wrote them are the adults. After years of believing they mean something else, these are the real hidden meanings behind these songs.
[post_page_title]Imagine – Communism[/post_page_title]
Imagine by John Lennon was named the third greatest song of all time by Rolling Stone magazine. The song has been used as a symbol of hope in the world, hope that we can all come together as people and sort out our issues.
Lennon actually said that the song was pretty much a Communist manifesto. He said he sugarcoated the song because he knew it would be accepted that way. All he needed to do to get his message across was to “put a little honey on it.”
