It was the late 1960s when two of the most famous musical siblings walked onto the scene, called the Carpenters. From the very beginning, Karen and Richard Carpenter worked tirelessly and would stop at nothing until they reached the top of their field. The road to success was a long and bumpy one for them, but a journey that nonetheless saw these two go down in music history. The Carpenter siblings were born in the mid-20th Century, with Richard Lynn born in October 1946, and Karen Ann in March 1950. The pair may have been close in age, but the two siblings couldn’t have been more different.
They rarely wanted to spend time with each other, and while Karen was the one making all the friends, Richard preferred to spend his time alone in his bedroom. There was one thing these two had in common, though – their love of music.
