In another interview, Lopez shed some more light on why this relationship was different compared to her previous ones – at least from her perspective. Once again going back to the maturity thing, she said her relationship journey had been “up and down” so far.
It has been about figuring out who she was, and she’s done that now. “Until you learn to love yourself,” she explained, “you can’t completely love someone else.” She went through an evolutionary process in that regard, and came out stronger on the other end.
