Despite the less than welcoming response from the school, Tony was determined to push for a change to the dress code. On September 11, 2017, parents met with officials from the school and local education officials to discuss the dress code.
Tony wanted to see the dress code changed, and have the power to decide to put it into the hands of the parents, rather than the school. Tony argued for a change, making it clear that he and many other parents thought that the school was acting in an unreasonable, overly punishing way.
