The school was unwilling to change its stance on Demetra’s outfit, and why it was inappropriate. It claimed that her outfit might be distracting to boys, and as such she would not be allowed to wear it while at school.
Tony was appalled at this answer, thinking it was a ridiculous reason to regulate the outfits of female students. Nonetheless, there was nothing he could do at that point, so he was forced to give Demetra a pair of leggings to wear, leaving her in uncomfortably warm clothing all day.
