Demetra’s father, much like Demetra and the other girls at school, was particularly unhappy with the school’s reasoning as to why Demetra and other girls could not wear the clothes they wanted to. He claimed that it was preposterous to argue that girls should be forced to be uncomfortable in case boys get distracted.
Tony felt that not only was it a ridiculous concern, but that by putting the onus on female students, the code was an unacceptable infringement on the right of Demetra and other girls to go to school feeling comfortable like anybody else.
