One-and-a-half-years after first purchasing the house, Chip and Joanna were ready to show off the farmhouse to the world. It was October 2013, and the couple had been working hard.
However, Joanna wanted to ensure the original building didn’t get lost under any of their additions. The pair opted for one extension to add on a master bedroom and decided all the fitting, fixtures, and features throughout the property were the best way to bring it into the 21st century.

One of the most prominent features of the exterior of this build is the neutral tones. Joanna confessed she wanted to stick with a blank color scheme to keep with the classic elements of the farmhouse.
As well as the neutral paintwork, Chip and Joanna also featured several new wooden beams. Although the home still carries the look of a building that has stood the test of time, it also stands out against the oak trees surrounding the area – one of the main selling points for the couple.
