The entrance is only the beginning for Chip and Joanna’s farmhouse. The couple opted to carry on their neutral look into the entranceway with their painted wooden walls and subtle additions of grey and white throughout the space.
Joanna knew the importance of storage for all her family’s needs, so opted for a simple metal coat rack on the wall. That’s not all. Every member of the Gaines household gets a dash of inspiration just before heading out the door each day.

Although Chip and Joanna wanted to make sure the home stayed as true to its roots as possible, they also needed to make the farmhouse practical for their family’s needs. The pair opted to remove several of the internal walls to create a flowing space.
The kitchen is one of the many rooms that was reimagined along the renovations as Joanna has now decorated the room with simple white cabinets topped with simple gray counters. Plus, the breakfast bar is the perfect space for any family meal on the go.
