Vanessa Kirby was the first actress in The Crown to portray Queen Elizabeth II’s sister Princess Margaret. She was young and headstrong in the early series, but she is likely to be darker in the upcoming third season.
Margaret wanted to marry Peter Townsend, but because he had been married once before it was not allowed due to royal protocol. The Crown was a bit of a breakout role for Kirby who has also starred in Mission: Impossible – Fallout, About Time, and the upcoming Fast & Furious presents: Hobbs and Shaw.
