Upon looking at the photo, Judy Simmons – Hannah’s mom – revealed that it had given her some peace during such a dark time.
In her eyes, the picture showed the victims of the crash ascending to heaven, and that helped her to cope with the devastating loss. Knowing that her daughter, granddaughter, and friend were all in a better place eased her suffering, even if it didn’t eradicate the pain. She’d never truly get over their passing, but the photo reminded her to take things one step at a time.
