If you have ever been to a salon, you’ll know that it’s commonplace to receive a patch test. This is required when you are putting a new product on your skin, such as hair dye or glue.
Because these products are all created with chemicals and a variety of ingredients, salons will apply a patch of the product onto the skin of the client before the treatment. This is to see whether they are allergic or will suffer a reaction if a larger quantity is applied. Unfortunately, the salon Megan went to did not offer her a patch test.
