Brian was 27 years old, and in his second year of medical studies back in 2006. He was enrolled at Ohio State University, where Brian had already earned his undergraduate degree in microbiology.
He was close to his parents, Renee and Randy, and his brother, Dereck. Tragically, that was all about to change when Rennee passed away in March, 2006. She had been diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer, and doctors were unable to find a cure before it was too late.
