Another theory is that Brian managed to get out of the bar, but was targeted by someone or a group of people. After all, the area was known for its high crime rate. Plus, some people believe he could have left with the band.
Although Brain was studying medicine, he said that being a doctor was his backup plan and that he really wanted to be a musician. Could he have run away to enjoy a life of music instead, or did someone end his plans before Brian got the chance?
