While most people these days are interested in seeing where the living, breathing Royals live and what they get up to, these grounds also have some deep historical significance and have housed Royals for some time.
The cottage was built in 1792 as a kind of Royal refuge area for the female members to be able to escape the bothers of the Royal court. That also happened to include the King at the time. Now it’s a place for Meghan and Harry to raise their son.
