It was reported that Meghan and Harry spent £50,000 on soundproofing for the home. In terms of US dollars, this roughly translates to $62,860, and while it sounds like a lot, when you realize just how many flights pass through, it makes a lot of sense.
According to the Daily Mail, 14 flights pass within a mile of Frogmore house every half an hour. This is an insane number of flights for anyone to have to put up with. So, it’s no wonder the Duke and Duchess of Sussex decided to shell out a load of cash on blocking that noise out. After all, their home isn’t new and probably couldn’t block the noise out as well as a modern home could.
