People calling out Ariel for her bigger chest is only the start. The whole time she’s been on Modern Family she’s been the recipient of hateful comments about the size of her body. Strangers online have shamed her for daring to bare skin with the body type she has, even though she’s a perfectly healthy size. In particular, they criticized her for wearing small shorts, suggesting that she had to squeeze herself into them.
The comments didn’t go down with Ariel, but rather than letting them get to her, she fought back instead. In a scathing post on Twitter, she expressed her anger at the people who accused her of being too big to wear clothes like that. She defended herself, stating that it was the summer and she wasn’t going to melt in long, baggy clothes just because people didn’t want to see her legs.
