In light of the criticism she’d received over her size, Ariel decided she needed to do more than just respond to some stranger’s comment. That’s why on her birthday she uploaded a video to Instagram that poked fun at the whole thing.
She was filmed blowing out a birthday candle on top of a cheese pizza, a nod to the idea that she should eat more. Although she didn’t openly comment on the body shaming, it was clear what the video was meant as a reference to.
