Many around the world don’t only love Oprah Winfrey, but they also look up to her as a hero. In the mid-’70s the star became the first black female anchor on a news show thanks to landing a job with WLAC-TV, and this was only the beginning. From there, Oprah founded her charity named Oprah’s Angel Network. The organization was formed in 1998 and has since raised over $80 million to help people all around the world, especially children and women filled with potential.
