For a time, it was a fairly common occurrence to see movies that were based on characters and sketches that had been featured on ‘Saturday Night Live’. Farley appeared in two films based on ‘SNL’ sketches, ‘Wayne’s World’ in 1992, and ‘Coneheads’ in 1993.
‘Wayne’s World’ was a comedy created by Mike Myers, featuring himself as a slacker rock enthusiast. ‘Coneheads’ was a comedy starring Dan Aykroyd featuring a family of aliens who come to live on Earth.
