In addition to the films he had completed before passing away, Farley had also been involved in planning several projects. The most well-known of these is the 2001 animated film ‘Shrek’ – a comedic take on classic fairy tales and animated kids’ movies.
Farley was due to play the title character, and had recorded most of the dialogue for the role before passing away. After his passing, Dreamworks was forced to find someone else to fill the role, eventually settling on Mike Myers, another ‘SNL’ alum.
