Farley’s premature passing put the brakes on a few projects, including one planned by author Dav Pilkey. Pilkey, who writes the immensely popular ‘Captain Underpants’ series of children’s books, had been thinking of adapting the series for television – and was keen on getting Farley to play the title character.
Unfortunately, Farley’s passing led him to abandon the project, and ‘Captain Underpants’ would not be adapted until the release of the 2017 animated film ‘Captain Underpants: The Epic First Movie’.
