Despite how it might seem, not everyone on Vanderpump Rules was determined to appear on the show. In fact, several of the cast members had to be coaxed onto the series, with some of them even planning to go down very different routes with their careers. In particular, Jax Taylor and Scheana Marie originally had no intentions of being one of Lisa Vanderpump’s employees. However, they soon changed their tunes, with Jax giving up a career as a firefighter so he could be on TV.
Apparently, it was thanks to Stassi Schroeder and Mrs. Vanderpump herself that he found his way behind the bar of SUR. Scheana, on the other hand, was reluctant to join the series because she was afraid it would stop her from becoming an actress. It was only when producers informed her the show was focused around people’s careers that she gave in and said yes.
