When you’re on a new show that’s just starting out you can’t expect to get paid the biggest salary. Vanderpump Rules might be a spin-off of a well-established show, but the popularity of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills wasn’t enough to give the series a huge budget. As a result, the cast was only paid $5,000 each while filming the first season. That still sounds like a reasonable paycheck, but given how much time and effort went into filming, the stars were probably hoping for a little more.
Luckily, their fortunes soon changed when the series found its viewers. Thanks to Vanderpump Rules pulling in a sizable audience, the paychecks rapidly increased. Now, instead of being paid $5,000 per season, they were making that much per episode. That’s quite a lot of money seeing as the show now has 24 episodes for every season!
