Despite not seeing Charlie for the entire five seasons, ABC network never actually liked it this way. In fact, for five whole seasons, they tried their best to persuade the writers and creative executives to introduce Charlie as an on-screen character, but ultimately, they decided to ignore ABC’s wishes.
Rightfully so too, as we think it wouldn’t have felt right if they randomly introduced Charlie to appear mid-way through. Plus, Forsythe would have demanded far more money!
