Kate Jackson was also on the verge of quitting for a long time. However, by the end of Season 3, producers decided to fire her instead due to her apparent tendency to make problems out of nothing.
Jackson reportedly now holds a grudge against the producers because she states they unfairly stopped her from taking on the leading lady role in the hit film, ‘Kramer v. Kramer’ (which her replacement Meryl Streep went on to win an Oscar for). Ouch, that’s gotta hurt.
